Summer city camp 28. августа sekretar

For the first time our Home Daughters from Alutaguse regional unit took part in a summer city camp in Tallinn. There were around 80 girls from all around Estonia and their intention was to learn more about the Estonian government buildings and also to spend time and communicate with each other while also independently wandering in our capital city. The girls visited the Parliament, the Stenbock House, main building of the Estonian Defence League, Kadriorg castle and park, and the Presidential Palace. As a tradition the Home Daughters lighted candles on the former presidents’ K.Päts and L. Meri graves in Metsakalmistu cemetery. They also visited Tallinn Zoo, botanical gardens, Estonian open air museum, Tallinn TV Tower and Bastion dungeons.  It was an interesting, educational and fun first time experience. 80 girls in Home Daughter uniform was quite a sight and many people were interested to know who those girls were. In Kadriorg park they even met and chatted with a group of Americans. The city camp was a great experience for the girls as well as their instructor, the children are already looking forward to next meet-ups.
