Gratitude day(s)

Submitted by htm.admin on

This end of school year there are two gratitude days instead of one due to Covid-19 and its precautions. On June 8 and 9 instead of students having to come to school, a school bus comes to them. Depending on the place they live students just have to come and meet the bus and few teachers to give away their school textbooks, literature, and laptops, and to receive a little thank you from the school.

The last week of school from the first until the fifth of May is a project week. Each day students get one or two assignments that they focus on. The first day is the day of memories, the second is the day of nature, the third is the day of creativity, the fourth is the day of movement and the fifth day is meant for tidying and sorting school things and preparing school materials and computers to be given back to school.

Last school bell

On June 1 traditionally there would have been the last school bell event for the school leavers which in our school is for year 9. However, as with many other events during this spring, this also had to be virtual and pre-recorded. Never the less, it was a nice tribute to our oldest students who soon will start their new stage of life.

Our traditional family event in May was held online due to the national emergency situation. In the evening of May 8 everyone got a link through Stuudium and was able to watch clips of students’ remakes of Estonian films. School also gave thanks to the parents who have supported their children and have been supportive of the school, especially during the distance learning time.
