The regional mother tongue competition (of the Estonian language) was held on January 26. Three girls from our school took part in the competition- year 9 students Isabel and Christin and year 8 student Liisi. Out of 26 students, Isabel and Christin came to share the first and second place (among competitors from classes 9-10). Liisi also did very well in the language competition. Congratulations!

Number 8 looks like a snowman and number 1 looks like its broom. International World Day of Snowman has been celebrated since 2010 and its originator was Cornelius Graetz- a man who has the world’s biggest snowman collection. Snowmen symbolise friendliness and sympathy. They also help us to think about and get some attention on climate change.
Our school called for students to make snowmen out of snow or some other materials, draw snowmen, make up songs or poems about them in order to keep alive the lovely winter tradition.
We are on distance learning from December 14th until the Christmas holiday due to the new restrictions in order to stop the spread of the Corona virus. We hope to see our students back in the schoolhouse as soon as the Government and Covid-19 allows. School break
Happy holidays! Stay safe!
