On the desks there were ink pots and quills. Students could try out how it is to write with a quill pen. They learned about the old time lessons (e.g. bible study, calligraphy) and saw some very rare objects from the past.

October is the reading month and National Book Month. Mäetaguse Basic School invites its students to bring a book to the school library and exchange it for another book brought to school by someone else.

There is also a reading challenge! Fill in a paper (shaped like a small railcar) with details of the book you read, write a short introduction of the book, and put it on the book wall.
