INFO bussiga liiklejatele! 30. August sekretar
Ida-Viru county has new vbus lines, in which modern ticket sales systems have been installed.
The new ticketing system allows bus passengers to register their right to ride with a validator when entering the bus.
Driving on Ida-Viru county lines will continue to be 0 euros, i.e. free. Although the ride is free, the passenger must still has a validated driving card or, in the absence of a driving card, a paper ticket received from the bus driver.
The travel card is not mandatory, but it is environmentally friendly, significantly speeds up and simplifies bus travel, and bus drivers collect fewer paper tickets from the bus floors after each trip.
The paper ticket must be kept until the end of the journey and must be clearly legible for presentation to the controller.
If you already have a travel card, you do not need to purchase a new one. All driving cards sold in Estonia are cross-usable, which means that a driving card purchased from, for example, Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu or elsewhere can be used on our county lines, and vice versa, a driving card purchased in our county can be used to ride buses in all other regions.
The card costs 2 euros and is a one-time cost.
Travel cards can be purchased at all R-Kiosks, information counters of major shopping centers and Omniva post offices.
Tickets can also be bought for exact cash from the bus driver of the county line.
If the student has acquired a travel card and has forgotten to go home/school, the bus can still be roden, and in this case the bus driver must ask for a paper ticket for that journey.
MÄETAGUSE PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS CAN TRAVEL BY BUS BY REGISTERING WITH A STUDENT TICKET and there is no need to buy an additional ticket!
