English Week, 21.-25th January 01. February sekretar
This year we already started our English Week preparations during the first weeks of school after New Year. The wider aim was to learn English through songs and singing. Each class learnt one song in English. In addition to learning a song, the words, meaning, and other information about it was introduced to the students.
During the subject week there were also within-school English competitions, in which our school’s best students of English could show their skills. Each and every competitor is worthy of praise, and the best of the best got useful and interesting dictionaries to help with their future English studies.
The English week ended with a fantastic concert where all the classes performed their songs, the audience could also sing and move along. There was a surprise performance by a group of students and an English teacher who sang a famous song “Do-Re-Mi” from the “The Sound of Music”. And the teachers as well were surprised by a more modern sing-along song by Alan Walker’s “Alone”.
